Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know the size of unit I should rent?

To help you answer that we have provided visual references, home size references and descriptions of common items and that will fit into the various sizes listed on the Storage Unit pages. If you need help contact our friendly and knowledgeable staff.

When can I access my belongings?

With our state-of-the-art security system you are allowed access 7 days a week between 6am – 9pm by using our convenient coded access gates. If you need 24 hour access, simply call us to discuss your needs.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, Check, Money Order and Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)

For your convenience,

  • Credit/Debit Card payments are accepted on our website or by phone.
  • Automatic monthly payments may be scheduled using your Credit/Debit Card or Checking Account.
  • Self Service Kiosk available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, it is located at the 3819 S. Division Street location.

What exactly can I store?

As long as it’s not illegal, dangerous, highly flammable, perishable, precious or alive you can store it. Anything you store should be in compliance with our terms and conditions.

How long do I have to rent for when I move in?

Only for the number of days remaining in the month you move-in. We prorate the amount of rent due at move-in by the number of days left in the month.

What’s the minimum / maximum amount of time I can store for?

After your prorated move-in, the unit is rented by a calendar month at a time. You can use the unit for as long as you need.

What if I reserved/rented the wrong unit size?

We understand that estimating the amount of space your valuables will take up is difficult so in this instance we can simply transfer you to the correct storage size. Or, if the right size isn’t available, you can take an additional storage unit.

What type of lock do I need?

We require the use of a round disk lock on all storage units and a quality tongue lock on all trailers.

How do I know my stuff will be safe?

We have taken every step to ensure the security and safety of items stored at our facility. Our security system is state-of-the-art, with individually coded keypad access, digital security cameras & recorders, and a fenced compound that allows access to only those who are currently renting a unit from us. Plus the Owner lives near the properties and doesn’t sleep well at night!

Do I need to insure my belongings while in storage?

Yes. We make every effort to ensure nothing happens to your belongings but in the event that something does you will want to have some kind of insurance coverage. The responsibility for insurance is yours; our insurance does not insure the contents of the storage units or vehicles stored at our property. Often times your homeowner’s policy includes coverage for this situation but check with you insurance agent. We do offer insurance with Storsmart Insurance that can be purchased at an additional premium cost, outside of your monthly rent payment.

What do I need to bring on the day I rent the unit?

You will need a driver’s license or state ID. You will need money for the rent due at move-in and to bring a round-disc lock if you don’t have a lock that meets our specifications. We do have round disc locks here on site.
